WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

All students currently enrolled at an institute of higher education in Sweden, e.g. Lund University, Linköping University, etc. This includes undergraduates, graduates, and PhD students, of both Swedish and non-Swedish origin, in any field of study. Exchange students are also welcome to participate.

I AM FROM OUTSIDE LUND, CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE?

Yes. However, participants from outside Lund are responsible for organizing transportation on their own and finding accommodations while in Lund. Unfortunately, participants from outside Lund are also responsible for all associated travel and accommodation expenses. Please email us if you are from outside Lund and would like to participate.

HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?

There is a small fee of 120kr per team due before 2 March 2007. However, if you pay before 1 February 2007 you can take advantage of the Early Bird price of 100kr per team. This fee goes to cover the cost of food, drinks, photo copies, and other operating expenses. Any profit generated will go directly to Amnesty International. The fee is mandatory and cannot be waived or reduced. The fee is non-refundable in the event of individual/team absence, sickness, or otherwise.

HOW TO SIGN UP

Find yourself a teammate, e.g. a friend, classmate, girlfriend, etc. Then you can sign up via one of the following ways:

1) Bring the completed registration form along with your full team fee, in cash, to the Amnesty International office in Lund (Östra Vallgatan 61) and leave it with one of the members. Office hours are Tuesdays from 18.00-20.00 and Fridays from 9.00-17.00.

-OR-

2) Email the completed registration form to lundsdebate@yahoo.com and pay via online banking using the following details:

Handelsbanken Lund

Account number: 517 649 462
Clearing number: 6759
Amnesty International Group 223

Remember to include both team member names when paying online (i.e. as the subject or under additional notes). You will hear from us in mid-February when we announce the Official Resolution of the debate.

I'D LIKE TO PARTICIPATE, BUT I CAN'T FIND ANYONE TO BE MY TEAMMATE!

Not a problem! In the event that you are unable to find a partner, you can email us and we will keep your name on file. If another person contacts us with the same problem, we will give them your email. It is your responsibility to contact each other and coordinate from there. Pairings will be random and done on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that you will get a teammate using this method.
