2007: One World One Promise.
Scouting celebrated it's 100th anniversary in 2007. Scouting started in 1907 with an experimental camp on Brownsea Island, United Kingdom, for 20 boys.
On 1 August 2007, as the sun rises from east to west, Scouts worldwide will gather to celebrate Scouting's Sunrise, exactly 100 years after Baden-Powell opened his experimental camp on Brownsea Island.

TORONTO -- Newsflash. On March 25, 2011 at an event in Toronto, Scouts Canada released new uniforms for the Scout section. The tan shirt is being replaced with a green shirt along with a light green short sleeve for activites. The pants will now be tan. A large change is the sash will no longer be in use, rather, newly designed badges will be sewn onto the sleeve. Uniforms will be available in September.
