Well, in short, I am just another computer nerd. A few facts about me:
- I have a degree in Computer Science
- Married with 2 children
- Work in digitization for a public library
- I am a Christian and I serve Jesus Christ
My main interests (in no particular order) are:
-
Computers
I enjoy using computers. I am a nerd/geek - I admit it. Even though I spend all day with computers at work, I still enjoy spending time on the computer at home - playing games, writing programs and putting together this website.
-
Guitars
I have been playing guitar since I was 8 years old. I started with classical guitar lessons and moved on to a steel string acoustic and finally to electric guitar. Playing guitar is great, and playing guitar with other musicians is awesome. With a family and all, it is hard to find a lot of time to play, but I play when I can. These days I mostly play at my church for the Sunday morning services.
-
LEGO
I think I got my first LEGO set when I was about 5 years old. I have been collecting and playing with LEGO ever since. I think it is the best toy ever made. With an imagination and a bit of creativity you can build just about anything. Who says toys are only for kids - I still enjoy getting out my LEGO and building things.
-
Transformers
Once again, toys are not just for kids. Transformers are toy cars, planes, and other stuff that transform into robots. There is officially a line of toys called Transformers, but I generally consider any of the "transforming robot toys" as Transformers. I used to have a fair number of these toys as a kid, but most of them got thrown away (unlike my LEGO collection which remains intact). However, in recent years I have been interested in collecting some of them again. Many of the old toys from the 80's have been reissued and I was able to pick up some of the old Transformers that I always wanted. They are fun toys.
As you can see from this site I enjoy combining my interests. With my PODMAN program I was able to combine my interest in computers and playing guitar as I wrote a computer program to control my POD (a guitar effects processor). Also I often combine my interest in LEGO and Transformers by trying to build Transformers out of LEGO as shown in the two LEGO projects on this site. Thanks to the LDraw program I can also mix my interest in LEGO with computers and save my LEGO designs in 3D on the computer.
Other websites I have designed
The following websites are a few "Virtual exhibitions" that I have designed as part of my job at the Toronto Public Library:

- Animals are allowed in the Library
- Canadians On Guard - The Home Front 1939-1945
- A Case of Considerable Interest
